Our heart is to invite Bible teachers who come from different cultural and theological backgrounds and are committed God’s truth.

Our hope is that you would come eager to learn from them but that you wouldn’t come because of them (whether some of your favorite speakers are coming or not) but that you would come eager to grow and glorify God. Amen?

  • Dr. Sarita Lyons is a wife, mother, Bible teacher, speaker, author, and psychotherapist. One of her greatest joys in ministry is working on the front lines of urban ministry in Philadelphia where she is on staff at Epiphany Fellowship Church as the director of discipleship and women’s ministry. Before full time ministry, she was in private practice for nine years providing counseling for a variety of psychological needs. . Dr. Lyons’ debut book, Church Girl: A Gospel Vision to Encourage and Challenge Black Christian.

  • Pastor Rich Villodas is the Brooklyn-born lead pastor of New Life Fellowship, a large, multiracial church with more than seventy-five countries represented in Elmhurst, Queens. Rich graduated with a BA in pastoral ministry and theology from Nyack College. He went on to complete his Master of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary. His award-winning book, The Deeply Formed Life, was released in September 2020. His latest book, Good and Beautiful and Kind, was released in July 2022. He and his wife, Rosie, have two beautiful children and reside in Long Island, NY.

  • Grace P. Cho is a Korean American writer, poet, speaker, and a senior acquisitions editor at Revell, an imprint of Baker Publishing Group.

    She is the co-author of Empowered: More of Him for All of You, the author of the (in)courage Bible studies, Courageous Influence and Create in Me a Heart of Wisdom, and a contributor to Voices of Lament: Reflections on Brokenness and Hope in a World Longing for Justice.   • Pastor James, originally from Westchester County, New York, is a father, Lead Pastor, Husband, and student with a strong commitment to social justice. He holds a degree in Speech Communications and Theatre from James Madison University. Since 1999, he has worked on various social issues and has planted churches in different states, including starting the Bridge Church in Brooklyn in 2014 and Pray March Act. James is married to Natarsha and has three daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys sports and fitness. They live in Brooklyn. Learn more about

  • Jennifer Ji-Hye Ko is a Disabled speaker, writer, poet, author of A Lamenter's Pathway to Joy: Devotional Journal, founder of Disabled Christian Voices Ministry, and a certified Beyond Suffering (theology of disability) instructor at Joni and Friends Ministry. She has lived with multiple physical, developmental, and psychological disabilities since early childhood including the traumatic confusion of being a late-diagnosed Autistic. Amed with over a decade of theological and biblical counseling education as well as mind-body self-study, Jennifer continues to learn while chronically dwelling on the sacred ground of desperate fellowship with Christ in his suffering. Jennifer — supported by her husband, daughter, BFFs, and her service dog Natasha Romanoff — strives to uplift and embolden hurting people with the comfort she has received from God.

  • Pricelis is a truth-teller and space builder committed to helping the Body of Christ be healthy and holy. She is the founder and CEO of Full Collective, creator of the annual Sowers Summit, and host of the Being a Sanctuary podcast. She is a contributor to the devotional The Women We've Been Waiting For and is coming out with her first traditionally published book this September, Being A Sanctuary: The Radical Way for The Body of Christ to Be Sacred, Soft, and Safe (Pre-Order it Today!). Pricelis holds master's degrees in community-based leadership and social work, and she is currently pursuing a master of arts in biblical and theological studies from Denver Seminary. She is a proud Black Latina born and raised in New York City, where she currently resides with her husband and son.

  • Amy Gannett is a writer and Bible teacher passionate about equipping Christians to study the Bible through The Bible Study Schoolhouse. She is also the founder of Tiny Theologians, a line of discipleship tools for children. Amy is the author Fix Your Eyes: How Theology Shapes our Worship. She is a Bible School and seminary graduate and with her husband, Austin, are church planters in eastern North Carolina. You can read more on her blog!

  • Jensy holds a B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies and a M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary. For 9 years Jensy taught in both the Pastoral Ministry and the Biblical Studies Departments of Nyack College. He is currently a professor at Summit International School of Ministry which is the ministry school of his childhood church Times Square Church. Jensy has served several churches in the city in various roles and most recently he serves as the lead of Discipleship at SoulCry Church in Queens.

  • Conscious Coore is a wife, mom, licensed educator, and trained deliverance minister laboring at the intersection of mental health and faith. Her work is founded on the belief that education through teaching and counseling is a critical part of liberation. Her non-profit organization, Flamingo Trauma Recovery emphasizes community, education, demonstration, and resources for exploring the intersection of therapy, science, faith, and Christian Spirituality. Conscious is also the author of several books

  • Lydia Lucas is a mom, ordained minister, writer and co-founder of Latinas Loving Jesus. She also works on the leadership team at City Relief, a faith-based organization that serves people experiencing homelessness in New York and New Jersey. This Spanish Harlem native’s favorite way to commune with God is while spending time in her backyard garden. She currently lives in New Jersey with her husband and two boys.

  • Joash Thomas is International Justice Mission Canada’s National Director of Mobilization & Advocacy. Born and raised in India, Joash ran a political consulting and lobbying firm in the United States before joining IJM. Joash has a master’s degree in Political Management from The George Washington University and is currently pursuing a dual master’s degree in Christian Leadership & Systematic Theology. An Oblate in the Diocese of St. Anthony, Joash is also the author of ‘A Just Gospel’, a forthcoming book in partnership with Brazos Press to be published in Fall 2025.

  • Faith is a peaker, pastor, church planter, author, and CEO of a nonprofit. She holds a Masters of Divinity from Liberty University and has been ministering in the church for 19 years. Faith is the CEO and founder of The Honor Summit, a nonprofit organization that equips and activates Asian American women for the mission of God. Alongside her husband, Pastor David Cho, she is also the co-founder/pastor of Mosaic Covenant Church of NJ. She is also the author of Experiencing Friendship with God: How the Wilderness Draws Us to His Presence. Her most precious role, however, is being a mom to her 4 children— Moriah, Elias, River and Adalynn.

  • Hailing from the vibrant community of Westchester, New York, Janay is an an ordained Elder at Fresh Start Christian Center located in Mount Vernon, NY. Committed to both faith and family, she is married and blessed with a passion for teaching the transformative Word of God. Her journey in ministry is fueled by a deep love for sharing the spiritual truths that have the power to change lives.

  • Giselle was born and raised in Queens and attended Alliance University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. She is currently enrolled at Southeastern University studying Family Ministry. At 22 she became a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God and in March 2023 became the District Youth Director for the Spanish Eastern District youth ministries. Her passion is to encourage young people that it is possible to be young, spirit filled, and consecrated for the Lord.

  • Tim & Jocelyn Holmes are Bronx natives, parents of 3 beautiful children, and pastors of a new church plant in the Bronx, Renovation City Church. In addition to planting a church, Tim has 10 years of ministry experience with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Prior to pastoring, Jocelyn served as a Kindergarten teacher. Together, they have unique heart for justice & racial reconciliation that is rooted in a love for Scripture and anchors their marriage and pastoral leadership.

Every year of Sowers Summit, we have a practical component of our conference. Last year was practical Biblical justice and this year it’s practical and Bible-based engagement with the LGBTQ+ community

WORKSHOP: CHRISTLIKE APPROACHES TO LGBTQ+ IMAGE BEARERS

We have Christian Williams leading us through this workshop with teaching, interactive engagement, and reflective activities.

Christian lives in Fayetteville, AR, where she serves on staff as Director of Discipleship Christ Community Church. She earned her Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Contextual Theology at Northern Seminary. She is passionate about about biblical literacy and practical theology, church history, and you can often find her at church or in coffee shops talking about Genesis 3, faith and gender/sexuality, or St. Catherine of Siena. As a bonus she thoroughly enjoys lattes, quality time with friends, brunch, and naps.
